How to restrain a Yamaha xj600 Diversion 1993 ?

The pack’s content : carburetor fittings + Needle jet So we start by just disassemble the reservoir and air filter housing.DSC_0098

I – Change carburetor fittings

I.a – Move the ramp carburetors

Move the ramp carburetors. To do this you will need to disconnect some hoses like the hose of vat’s reheating.

I.b – Unscrew the clamps of the carburetors fittings

We unscrew the clamps of the carburetors fittings.

We pull out the former carburetors in order to replace its by the newer.

II – Change needle jetDSC_0198

II.a – Remove the vacuum membranes

We move the vacuum membranes in order to have an access to the fixing of the needle jet. To do this you have to unscrew the two screws. DSC_0218DSC_0177After removing the membrane you have access to the plastic part that guides bushels.DSC_0184

II.b – Removing the carburetor’s vat

We move the va to have an access to the fixing of the needle jet. To do this you have to unscrew the four screws. DSC_0213DSC_0186

II.c – Removing the fixating bolt of the needle jet

Unscrew the bolt that secures the needle jet with a 8 box wrench.DSC_0193DSC_0194

II.d – Change the needle jetDSC_0197

DSC_0195 Finally, we replace the ramp, we do a carburetor synchronization and an adjustment of the air screw.
